We are so excited to present ExperienceWestbank.com to the world!
Our family moved from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan to Westbank during the summer of 2000. Since then, we have been continuously awed, impressed, and inspired by the mountains, the lake, the birds, the flowers, the fresh fruits, and the warm winters. No more minus 35 degree Celsius weather and no more plugging in the cars – can you picture the huge smile on my face! Most importantly, we have enjoyed the friendly people and the new friends we have met since we moved here.
However, something has been missing. It was like we were exploring this amazing treasure without a map. What fun things were we missing out on? What were we overlooking? I had no idea. So a few years ago, the idea for ExperienceWestbank.com was born. Today, that idea is becoming a reality.
Our goal is to provide the map. Over the next few months, this website will grow into your guide to everything that is wonderful about Westbank, BC. This includes the things to do, the outdoors, the people, the businesses, and any other hidden gems we discover along the way.
This journey to Experience Westbank needed a guide. I am so proud to announce that we have enlisted the assistance of Westbank resident Deborah Greaves. She is going to be our master tour guide. Since I met Deborah, I have already been introduced to the joys, the beauty, and the wonder of snowshoeing on Last Mountain, something I have never done before. By next winter, I suspect everyone in our family will have their own snowshoes.
So, if you are thinking of visiting Westbank, moving to Westbank, or already live in Westbank, then this website is just for you. New information is going to be added on almost a daily basis for the next few months while we grow.
